Booking and Cancellation Policies Applicable on all travel bookings made with us

OUR BOOKING POLICY (With Travart Easy-Pay 60-40 Payment Plan):

  • Minimum booking amount: 60% of total package price including taxes is payable on date of booking
  • Second instalment (40% of total package price) is payable up to 40 days before date of travel
  • In case of voucher requirement for visa application, full payment needs to be made 3 working days before visa date
  • In case of failure of full payment, issued vouchers if any are automatically cancelled 120 hours before scheduled travel with no refund.

  • Minimum booking amount: 40% of total package price including taxes is payable on date of booking
  • Second instalment (40% of total package price) is payable up to 60 days before date of travel
  • Third and final instalment (20% of total package price) is payable up to 30 days before date of travel
  • In case of voucher requirement for visa application, full payment needs to be made 3 working days before visa date
  • In case of failure of full payment, issued vouchers are automatically cancelled 120 hours before scheduled travel with no refund.

 

OUR BOOKING POLICY (With Travart Easy-Pay 40-40-20 or 60-40 Modified Payment Plan):

  • In some special cases, the initial booking amount may be less than the minimum booking amount of either of our payment plans. Special cases include but are not limited to initial booking amount lower than minimum value being collected along with flight booking price for the travel plan, providing protection to the customer against price and availability changes while awaiting minimum value to be paid, collection of lower booking amount due to transfer limitations of customer’s bank.
  • In all such cases, the booking amount shall be non-refundable.
  • In most cases where Modified version of the payment plan is used, the subsequent instalment dates provided in the booking confirmation voucher would have to be adhered to.
  • In case of voucher requirement for visa application, full payment needs to be made 3 working days before visa date
  • In case of failure of full payment, issued vouchers are automatically cancelled 120 hours before scheduled travel with no refund.

 

PENALTIES FOR LATE PAYMENT:

  • Up to 3 days over due: No charge
  • More than 3 days over due date: US$ 10 per day
  • More than 15 days over due date: US$ 30 per day
  • In case of failure of full payment at least 120 hours before departure, vouchers (if issued) are automatically cancelled with no refund

 

OUR AMENDMENT POLICY:

  • Small amendments such as rearrangement of itinerary etc are possible for no additional charge even after booking but before issue of vouchers, subject to availability.
  • In case you wish to make any amendments after vouchers are issued, it can be taken up on case to case basis as per availability and feasibility of changes.

 

OUR CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • Charges for cancellations up to 60 days prior to travel date: 10% of total package or minimum booking amount (whichever is higher) in case of ‘Modified payment plan’ or “Special consideration plan’ + Airline cancellation charge (as per airline policy unique to each airline)
  • Charges for cancellations up to 45 days prior to travel date: 25% of total package + Airline cancellation charge (as per airline policy unique to each airline)
  • Charges for cancellations up to 30 days prior to departure: 40% of total package + Airline cancellation charge (as per airline policy unique to each airline)
  • Charges for cancellations less than or equal to 30 days before departure: 100% of package cost + Airline cancellation charge (as per airline policy unique to each airline)
  • Charges for cancellations less than 10 days before departure: 100% of package cost + Airline cancellation charge (as per airline policy unique to each airline) + Rush Service Charge on Airline Cancellation (US$ 30 per person)
  • In case booking vouchers have been shared with the customer, the booking immediately comes under 100% cancellation charges.
  • In case only flight vouchers are issued to the customer, a minimum booking amount towards land package is collected on non-refundable basis.
  • Reason for cancellation has no bearing over the applicability of the booking and cancellation policy.
In case airline cancellation charges change between date of booking and date of cancellation, applicable cancellation charges as on date of cancellation will be applicable. Refund for flight component is directly processed by the Airline and Travart Travel and Explorations has no control over the same. Airline cancellation policies are publicly available for most airlines on their websites. In case of Airline Booking being on Non-Refundable / Non-Modifiable status, no refund is issued on cancellation.
 
 

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • 1. Travart, its representatives, agents, partners and vendors bear no responsibility for loss to travellers due to one or more of the following:
  • 1.1. In case of Visa refusal, irrespective of the reason for visa refusal. (Visa acceptance and rejection are based on decisions taken by the respective embassies or institutions set up by the destination countries, and Travart or any other party cannot influence, alter or amend the decision taken by the visa authority of any country.)
  • 1.2. In case of refusal of passage by immigration authorities in home country, in transit countries, or in country of final destination, irrespective of the reason for refusal. (Travellers must also note that a visa does not guarantee entry into any country, and it is at the sole discretion of the respective immigration officials to allow or deny entry or transit to travellers. Travart or any other party cannot influence, alter or amend the decision taken by the immigration officials of any country.)
  •  1.3.  In case of flight delay, rescheduling, or cancellation. (Travart primarily serves curated land arrangements for travellers. Travart provides flight booking services for the convenience of travellers who have purchased land arrangements from Travart, and Travart’s liability extends only to successful booking and issue of flight tickets based on the details provided by the traveller. Once flight tickets are issued and shared with the traveller, it is the traveller’s responsibility to update his or her contact information with the airline for updates regarding flight timing/schedule/other information).
  •  1.4. In case of cancellation due to non-payment of dues. (In case Travart provides an option for the traveller to pay in instalments, the traveller must make all payments as per due dates for each instalment. In case of delayed payment, late payment penalty would be chargeable. In case of non-payment, booking would be cancelled on the cut-off date with no refund. Standard cut off date and time is 120 hours before departure of outbound flight. In case cut-off date mentioned in booking confirmation differs from the standard cut-off date, the date which is earlier shall be considered as the cut-off date.)
  • 1.5. In case of missed airport transfers due to change in flight schedule, flight delay, or inability of driver to find traveller at the designated pick-up location at the scheduled time.
  • 1.6. In case of inability to consume travel services such as activities, tours, transfers, hotel bookings due to delayed/cancelled/rescheduled flights, acts of god, circumstances of extraordinary nature such as riots, collapse of infrastructure, collapse of local government and/or civic infrastructure.
2. All travellers are ‘required’ to print booking vouchers shared with them, and the same may be requested by immigration officials and/or other authorities or their representatives at any point before, during or after the travel.
3. Certain destinations require travellers to carry a minimum amount of currency as proof of sustenance. Travellers are required to individually determine and verify such requirements from the respective authorities, and to comply with the same.
4. Some flights require travellers to possess transit visa. Travellers are required to ensure possession of such visas if required. Airlines may disembark travellers and/or refuse boarding in case such required visas and permits are not available with the traveller.
5. Early check-in and late check-out are paid services of most hotels, and Travart cannot guarantee complimentary early check-in and/or late check-out on behalf of the hotel. Provision of complimentary (non-paid) early check-in and/or late check-out is at the sole discretion and ability of the hotel(s) and travellers are required to directly contact the hotel(s) for such requests.
6. All paying travellers are assigned a representative to act as single point of contact (SPOC). The SPOC may be contacted by SMS, Email and Call during working hours (10 am to 7 pm IST) on working days (Monday – Friday) barring bank holidays of India. At all other times, the SPOC may only be contacted by Phone Call in case of emergency. Text messages, voice messages, voice calls, video calls and other forms of communication over any other app/tool/platform do not comprise of official communication, and any communication done over such non-official means or channels with Travart’s representatives shall be considered as communication done in personal capacity, and shall not be binding to Travart or any of it’s representatives, agents, partners or affiliates.
7. Travart strives to provide a safe and comfortable working environment to its representatives of all genders, races, ethnicities and nationalities. In case of any indecent or inappropriate remark, communication, or conversation made by a user, customer, traveller or any third party with a representative of Travart, Travart reserves the right to blacklist said individual and mention details of the individual along with contact and personal details on public forums and public blacklists. Travart also encourages its representatives to report such acts to authorities under applicable laws, and shall not act in contravention of the same.
8. In some travel arrangements, Travart connects travellers with individuals in the destination who act as enablers for Travart to disburse certain services locally. Such individuals are called travel managers, trip managers, local managers etc. Travellers to note that said individuals are not acting as ‘guides’ or ‘drivers’, and the travellers do not have the right to demand additional services, paid or unpaid, from said individuals. Travellers to also note that these individuals act as voluntary enablers in their personal capacity, and these individuals are not bound by a service contract with the traveller.
9. After confirmation of booking, the traveller must contact Operations Team of Travart for all booking related matters, the contact details of which shall be shared with the traveller by the SPOC. The SPOC shall not be contacted by the traveller for matters under the purview of the Operations Team.
10. The failure of Travart to enforce, at any time, the provisions, penalties, terms and conditions hereof shall not be constructed to be a waiver of such provisions, penalties, terms and conditions, nor a waiver of such right, nor shall it be constructed as stopping Travart from taking any action or exercising any action within the scope of the mentioned terms and conditions. If any term, provision, covenant or restriction of the terms and conditions, or any part thereof, is held by a court of competent jurisdiction or any foreign, federal, state, county or local government or any other governmental, regulatory or administrative agency or authority to be invalid, void, unenforceable or against public policy for any reason, the remainder of the terms, provisions, covenants and restrictions of the terms and conditions shall remain in full force and effect and shall in no way be affected, impaired or invalidated.

References to terminologies: 
1. Travart: In above terms and conditions, Gedit Ecommerce Pvt Ltd is referred to as Travart. Travart is a brand name licensed by Gedit Ecommerce Private Limited.
2. Traveller: In above terms and conditions, ‘Traveller’ means individuals who have purchased travel services from Travart.
3. SPOC: In above terms and conditions, ‘SPOC’ means single point of contact, which is an individual representative of Travart who, during the mentioned working hours on mentioned working days, may be contacted directly by the Traveller for communication related to the traveller’s booking, except for post-booking communication. The traveller must only contact Operations Team of Travart for all communication required after booking confirmation has been issued and shared with the traveller. The contact details of the Operations Team of Travart shall be shared with the traveller by the SPOC after the booking confirmation has been issued and shared with the traveller. The SPOC must not be contacted by the traveller for matters under the purview of the Operations Team.
